Boat CRUise 2011

by Andy on September 7, 2011

All aboard the Evening Star for the social event of the year!  Our annual Boat Cruise is on Sunday, September 25th.  Our two hour cruise includes a D.J. and dancing as well as unlimited non-alcoholic beverages.  The cruise will take us out into Lake Michigan for some incredible views of Chicago’s skyline.

The cruise will leave from the Ogden Slip just west of Navy Pier (see map).  All guests should arrive at 6:20 P.M. for pictures, check in, and boarding.  The ship will return to the dock at 9:00 P.M.  Guests should bring a copy of their email receipt as a proof of admission payment.  Admission payments are non-refundable after September 20th.

The cost for the evening is $30.   You can no longer purchase admission online, but you can pay at the cruise.  Bring a $30 check made out to Campus Crusade for Christ, or $30 cash (exact change please) to the dock.

** The possibility of inclement weather for tonight’s cruise does exist.  The boat captain will decide weather or not the cruise happens.  If the cruise is cancelled or postponed, those who purchased admission will receive an email explaining the situation that has instructions for a possible refund, or information regarding rescheduling.  Unless you hear otherwise please assume the cruise is happening and do prepare for rain.  **

College.  The beginning of the rest of your life. There are a lot of questions to answer.  “Where will I invest my time?,”  “What career path will I choose?,”  “Who will be my friends?”

These years in school can be “all about me.”  Or you can choose to see your life as part of a bigger story.  A story that’s been unfolding since the beginning of time.  The story of a King who paid a great price to give eternal life to His sons and daughters.  A redemptive story in which you get to play a terrific part.

God invites you to join with Him in doing kingdom work now and for the rest of your life. Whatever your sphere of influence – your English class today or your accounting firm tomorrow – you have an opportunity to make a difference, to be a part of reconciling the world to God.

Chicago Cru wants to help you learn how to walk, communicate and multiply your faith these years in college.  We want to equip you to live out a kingdom vision wherever you are and we want to journey with you through this grand story.
